What has been happening?

Autumn 2015

May 17, 2015

There have been some big changes at Mrs Nicks over the past few weeks. We have enjoyed our gorgeous barn these past six years, being a part of so many weddings and special occasions. We have met such a lot of wonderful people, made some lifelong friendships with local families and hosted some very special events of our own.

The treasure, who is our darling Ruby rose,is about to turn 3.Her arrival into our family has brought more joy than I can express ,but not just for me and Nick but for our entire family-we are all besotted.

The barn for us was always a family business,a way to connect with our new community , a way for us to teach our children some important fundamentals and a way to be together. Now as our baby turns 3 and some of our older children have moved back to town to pursue study and work,we feel the pull to bring us all together again. For this reason we hand our beloved barn over to the very capable hands of Bernard and Rachael McCarthy.Salix Barn will be opening soon and we are all very excited.

I will still be involved in wine sales and the vineyard.

A big thankyou to everyone we have shared Mrs Nicks barn with ,it really has been such a pleasure for us all.Our beautiful tree of hearts is more soulful for all of the love shes witnessed and all the love to come will just make her tenure richer.

Our Family Christening

Feb 12, 2013

family christening

On Saturday the 26th of January we christened our littlest treasure,Ruby-Rose.We are very lucky to have a most special priest at the Greek church in Red Hill,Papa Lefteri, whose kindness shows in the creases around his eyes and his excitement over a large family , can only rival that of my adorable mother in law Penelope.I am blessed to have given my darling Nikos parents their first grandchild and their last grandchild -not a bad effort when there are 9 grandchildren in between. beautiful-baby

Our family and friends travelled from near and far.Our little girl was spoilt with love and kindness of which she gives back to us tenfold.

The tree of hearts, witness to so many special days was again an umbrella for us to gather beneath for a memorable snap shot in our family's history

Too marvelous for words

Spring did Sprung

Dec 10, 2012

Spring was a very busy time at the vineyard for both the fresh beginings of vines for  the new vintage and the hosting of many beautiful weddings and functions in Mrs Nicks barn. Its been a flurry of vintage lace ,tulle ,bunting, glorious flowers, childhood sweethearts and those with fresh beginnings.

We've had a Christening of the most gorgeous baby, festive parties for special work mates, intimate gatherings and milestone birthdays.Weve met and been part of the histories of some very lovely people and occasionally I get a call to let me in on glorious news that may see us hosting even more christenings!

We will soon be enjoying our own daughter Ruby-rose's christening in the barn as well as celebrating her first Christmas with all her adoring siblings.

2012 has been such a special year for not only our family but all those who have celebrated special days with us.
